Chevrolet to market diesel-powered Cruze in U.S.

Chevrolet, also known as Chevy, is a vehicle brand produced by the General Motors Company. They have planned to sell a diesel version of the Chevrolet Cruze Compact in the United States.

Diesel engine cars generally cost more than the cars with gas engines because they are more expensive to produce.

Hence, U.S. auto makers didn’t move forward in bringing diesel engines inside U.S because of the fear that people will not buy diesel cars by paying extra money.

Sources say that the car will give about 50 miles per gallon on the highways and also will help General Motors to address stricter government fuel economy standards.

General Motors have already started to sell diesel powered Cruze in Australia and Europe. Engine of the Cruze is undergoing re-engineering to meet U.S. emission standards properly.
